Police Nab 4 suspected armed robbers, recover stolen Items in Bauchi

Police Command Bauchi has arrested four suspected armed robbers and recovered several stolen items following a midnight house invasion in the state capital.

Mr Ahmed Wakil, Spokesman of the command confirmed the incident to newsmen on Wednesday in Bauchi

He said the incident occurred Nov 11, 2025, when a gang of about five men stormed a residence behind the Vehicle Inspection Office (VIO) along Jos Road, Bauchi,

“Dispossessed the occupants of valuables, including mobile phones, clothing, and footwear,,” he said

According to him, upon receiving the report at about 3:40 a.m.detectives led by the Divisional Police Officer of ‘B’ Division, CSP Holman Simon, visited the scene to assess the situation.

“Preliminary investigation led to the identification and subsequent arrest of four suspects in connection with the robbery.

“During interrogation, the suspects reportedly confessed to conspiring and carrying out a series of armed attacks on residents in the area, stealing valuable items in the process.

“Items recovered from the suspects include one traveling bag, two sets of clothes, two pairs of sneakers, two sharp cutlasses, an Android phone, a keypad phone, and two torchlights, among others ,” he said

Wakil said the command’s Commissioner of Police, (CP ) Sani-Omolori Aliyu, has directed that the case be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for further investigation.

“Efforts are ongoing to track down other accomplices still at large,” he said

The Spokesman of the command assured residents of its commitment to ensuring the safety of lives and property across the state.
