The North East Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Initiative, Malam Isa Yuguda, has charged his newly appointed Special Adviser on Media and Communication, Mr Salisu Ahmad Barau, to effectively project the achievements of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.

Yuguda gave the charge in a letter appointing Barau as Special Adviser on Media and Communication for the North East Renewed Hope Initiative.

He said the appointment, which takes immediate effect, was aimed at strengthening communication around the Renewed Hope Agenda and ensuring that the achievements of the Tinubu administration were properly communicated to the public.

According to him, Barau will be responsible for showcasing the achievements of President Tinubu since assuming office, particularly efforts to address the economic challenges inherited by the administration.

Yuguda also tasked the new adviser with responding appropriately to what he described as mischievous comments and misleading narratives by detractors of the administration.

He said Barau would further advise his office on media-related events and activities requiring responses, especially those connected with the Renewed Hope Agenda.

The former Bauchi governor said Barau’s appointment was based on his track record, experience, commitment and loyalty dating back to his administration as governor in 2007.

Yuguda urged him to deploy these qualities to the assignment, expressing optimism that his efforts would contribute to securing victory for President Tinubu in the 2027 elections.
He congratulated Barau and wished him success in the new responsibility.
