FORUM IDENTIFIES CRITICAL PRIORITY AREAS FOR SPEEDY YOUTH DEVELOPMENT IN BAUCHI
Youths from the Bauchi south senatorial district have raised concern over their neglect in the formulation of policies affecting their future with specific reference to education, security, economic development and job opportunities.
The youths also identified human capital development, skills acquisition as well as youth inclusion in governance as notable issues calling for urgent attention of the government and development partners.
These critical priority areas affecting the development of youth in Bauchi south senatorial district were highlighted at a youth policy dialogue held in Bauchi and Organised by a Bauchi based NGO “We Aid Initiative” (WAI) with Support from Nigeria Youth Future Funds NYFF.
Speaking during the dialogue, the Executive Director of We Aid Initiative WAI Barrister Gambo Wakili
said the engagement provided young people with a platform to articulate their perspectives on youth and community development challenges while proposing practical recommendations that would guide government and development partners in designing responsive youth programmes.
Commenting on the Citizen education platform tagged “The Citizen”, Barrister Gambo Wakili said; “The partnership seeks to reinforce the impact of the platform in promoting active citizen participation in governance as Nigeria prepares for 2027 general Election so WAI will embark on aggressive civic awareness to encourage citizens to take more active role in democratic process”.

Speaker, Youths Assembly of Nigeria Bauchi State Chapter applauded the WE AID Initiative in their effort towards galvanizing the aspirations of the Youths and promised that the Youth Parliament of Nigeria Bauchi Chapter will always be available to support these efforts.
