Sen. Buba commissions 40 community Solar-Boreholes in Seven LGA’s

The Residents of the seven Local Government Areas of Bauchi South Senatorial District are now having a sigh of relief as Senator Shehu Buba Umar Commissioned a Solar Powered borehole symbolic to 40 Communities in Seven local Government Areas of the senatorial district .
The borehole commissioning is part of the senator’s broader agenda to tackle critical infrastructure deficits in the senatorial district including healthcare, education and rural electrification projects.
The solar-powered borehole would address the communitie’s long-standing water challenges as well as improve access to clean water.
This brought celebration to the Community of the seven Local Government Areas of the Senatorial District when the borehole was commissioned.

The project was one of the several boreholes facilitated by the senator across the seven local government areas of the senatorial district, marking the significant milestone in efforts to improve access to clean water in the senatorial district.
The benefiting communities include Bauchi Local Government Area 15, Toro gets seven borehole, Alkaleri, Kirfi, and Tafawa Balewa local government areas gets four borehole each ,while the remaining two.local government areas of Dass and Bogorogets three boreholes each.
Responding, the residents expressed their joy and appreciation for the initiative, describing the borehole as a transformative development that will enhance sanitation, reduce waterborne diseases and ease the daily struggle of fetching water from a distant sources.
Residents interviewed described water as ‘a life saver’, pointing out that they used to go to bed hungry, not because there was no food, but because there is no clean water for cooking and or drinking.

Many residents who spoke with reporters thanked the senator for the project.Malam Aminu Ado, a resident of Tirwun said they spent many years without seeing a single drop of water coming out from the tap, but now with the intervention of the senator their problem of safe drinking water had become history.
A meat seller in the community Ibrahim Muhammad, said they suffered a lot from water scarcity but today The Residents have pledged to maintain the facility to ensure its sustainability and lasting impact on the community.
Speaking at the occasion a community leader of the Alhaji Aminu Muhammad Danmaliki Danmalikin Bauchi thanked the Senator for his dedication in addressing the pressing needs of the people, adding, “This project will significantly improve the quality of life for everyone in our community”.
Addressing the residents, Senator Shehu Buba Umar reaffirmed his commitment to deliver essential services to his constituents.
“Access to clean water is a basic necessity, and I am determined to ensure that every community Bauchi South benefits from initiatives that promote health and development,”
The law maker said the project was part of his constituency projects ,because during electioneering campaign he visited 72 out of the 75 wards in his constituency and all the places he visited they complained to him on their needs to have portable water which he pledged to do something about it if he win the election.
He said the 40 solar borehole he commissioned today were part of his constituency projects ,but he constructed and rehabilitated many boreholes in the whole part of the states which was done with his personal money.
Senator Buba said the benefitting communities were selected because it is densely populated, adding that approximately millions residents would benefit from the project.
