The Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Prof. Muhammad Ali Pate, has described the outcome of the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primary election in Bauchi State as a reflection of the unity and strength of the party ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Prof. Pate, who served as the APC Presidential Primary Election Coordinator and Collation Officer in the state, made the remarks on Saturday after announcing the victory of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the exercise.

Tinubu secured 156,541 votes to defeat businessman Sterlyn Osifo, who polled 2,650 votes during the direct primary election conducted across the 20 local government areas of Bauchi State.
According to Prof. Pate, the peaceful conduct of the primary and the massive turnout of party members demonstrated the growing unity, organization and grassroots support enjoyed by the APC in the state.
He noted that party members conducted themselves responsibly before, during and after the exercise, stressing that the spirit of sportsmanship displayed by aspirants and supporters remained one of the greatest achievements of the election.

The minister commended members of the electoral committee and security agencies for ensuring a transparent, orderly and credible process across all wards and local government areas.
He also praised the participation of young people during the exercise, revealing that thousands of youths turned out to take part in the democratic process.
According to him, the administration of President Tinubu has continued to create opportunities for young Nigerians through employment and empowerment initiatives.
Prof. Pate further highlighted ongoing federal government projects and healthcare interventions in Bauchi State, including the introduction of free emergency cesarean section services for women.
He urged party members and aspirants to remain united and support APC candidates in future elections, insisting that continued unity within the party would promote development and progress across Bauchi State and the country at large.
