A political association has expressed confidence that the emergence of Dr Bala Maijama’a Wunti as governor would accelerate the realisation of oil and gas exploration in Bauchi State.
The Chairman of Bala Wunti G11 Organisation, Alhaji Hassan Abubakar, stated this on Saturday when he led members of the group on a courtesy visit to the Bala Wunti Support Organisation (BWSO).
Abubakar said Wunti, as part of the team that initiated discussions and prospects around oil and gas development in the state, remains best positioned to lead Bauchi at this critical period.
According to him, Wunti possesses the experience, vision and technical understanding required to drive the state toward inclusion among oil and gas producing states.
He further noted that beyond his professional contributions, Wunti has consistently invested in human capital development over the years.
Abubakar cited personal interventions in education and healthcare support for indigent citizens, as well as the rehabilitation and empowerment of youths for self-reliance.
The G11 chairman reaffirmed his group’s commitment to supporting Wunti’s governorship ambition, describing him as a proponent of inclusive governance and sustainable development.
As part of their support, Abubakar presented clothing materials to BWSO for onward distribution to 8,000 male and female orphans.
In a related gesture, Alhaji Abubakar Danyaya donated a branded 2023 Toyota Prado Jeep to support campaign activities for the Wunti project.
Responding, the Chief Coordinating Officer of BWSO, Alhaji Sha’abdin Danladi, said the organisation was established to harmonise like-minded groups under a unified platform.
He highlighted youth leadership development, mentorship and succession planning as key areas of collaboration.
Danladi added that Wunti has developed a comprehensive blueprint for Bauchi’s transformation, reiterating confidence that his leadership would strengthen the state’s prospects in the oil and gas sector.
Also speaking, the Chief Executive Officer of BWSO, Arch. Muktar Jarmajo, commended the G11 for its material contributions, describing their support as a commitment to the overall progress of Bauchi State.
