PRP Bauchi Dismisses Alleged Mass Resignation, Insists Party Structure Remains Intact

The Bauchi State chapter of the People’s Redemption Party (PRP) has rejected claims of a purported mass resignation by a group of individuals, describing the development as misleading and baseless.

In a statement issued on Friday in Bauchi, the State Chairman, Hon. Abdurrahman Yusuf Muazu (Sardaunan Boto), said the party leadership was neither aware of nor affiliated with those behind the claims.

Muazu expressed concern over what he described as an attempt by unknown persons to create confusion and attract undue attention through false representation.

“It is quite astonishing that individuals who are neither members nor recognised at any level within the PRP would claim to have resigned from the party or held positions within its structure,” he said.

He emphasised that the individuals in question are not registered members of the party and do not occupy any leadership roles within its framework.

According to him, a simple verification with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Bauchi would confirm the authenticity of the party’s membership and leadership records.

Muazu added that the claims by the group were unfounded and should be disregarded by the public and the media.

The chairman reaffirmed that the PRP in Bauchi State remains united, stable, and committed to its founding principles, stressing that no recognised member of the party had resigned.

He urged stakeholders to rely on credible and verified information regarding party affairs, noting that official records clearly identify legitimate members and leaders.

Muazu further reiterated the party’s resolve to continue serving the interests of the masses while maintaining its integrity and organisational cohesion.

He called on the public to ignore what he termed “fabricated claims” by impostors seeking relevance.
