The Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed Vanguard (BAMV) has declared support for Governor Bala Mohammed’s defection from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) and pledged to launch a statewide awareness campaign.
The group’s Director General and National Leader, Comrade Mohammed Abubakar Jibo, announced the position Monday during a solidarity event at Abubakar Tatari Ali Polytechnic, Bauchi.

Jibo said the event was organized to endorse the governor’s political realignment and meticulous defection to the APM.
He described the decision as one born out of patriotism, sincerity and honesty of purpose, adding that it reflected the governor’s political dexterity and desire for continued effective governance and sustainable development of Bauchi State beyond 2027. “Sen. Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed has come, has seen and has conquered.
He is indeed a leader not a ruler; he is a giver not a taker,” Jibo said.He likened the governor to nationalists including Ahmadu Bello, Tafawa Balewa, Obafemi Awolowo, and Aminu Kano.

Jibo claimed that achievements recorded under the governor’s administration in the last seven years across Bauchi’s 20 local government areas are immeasurable, and argued they surpass those of successive administrations in 43 years put together.
According to him, BAMV and 72 other political and civil society groups have aligned with the governor’s move to the APM.He said the decision followed wide consultation and careful assessment and party scrutiny.
“We strongly believe in the governor’s ability under the banner of APM to energetically pilot us to victory in the forthcoming 2027 General Elections,” Jibo stated.
The group also resolved to begin a full scale sensitization tour across Bauchi State to explain the defection to voters.Jibo said the effort aims to rally support for the governor’s new platform, describing the move as difficult but necessary for the interest of the state.
